FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. WILL IT BE EASY FOR ME TO CHANGE THE PICTURES ON MY SITE?

A. Most of the layouts we use enable a new picture or text to be changed easily. In most cases new pictures are sent to us, we scan them, put them in place and charge a small fee for doing this.

Call us to discuss your requirements. We will be pleased to answer questions. Telephone 01342 841666.

Q. WHAT DOES IT COST TO HAVE A SITE?

A. It depends how many pages and sections you want to have. We can build a site for you that has just a few pages for £495 + vat. This can be a starter site that can be added to later.

If you want a site that shows a lot of work, or you want e-commerce facilities to sell directly from your site, we will need to discuss your requirements so that we can provide a quotation.

Q. ARE THERE ANY OTHER COSTS?

A. After the first year there is an annual cost for hosting the site. For an individual's web site this is £96 per year + vat.

Within the initial design fee for your web site we will purchase a domain name for your site. The domain name is the web address. Please call to discuss any names you want.

Q. IS THE WEB SITE MY PROPERTY?

A. We recognise that having a web site is an investment. When the site is launched and all costs have been paid, the site becomes your property. You will have your own site and something you can build on.

Whilst we will be happy to host the site and look after it for you, if at any time in the future you wish to move the site, we will arrange transfer and provide you with all artwork files on CD.

Q. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE PICTURES FOR A SITE?

A. If possible, we prefer to have good quality colour prints. We then scan from these. Some artists prefer to prepare their pictures by having them scanned from transparencies or have new digital pictures taken. We are happy to work with pictures supplied on CD.

We can advise on the best way to work from existing transparencies or how to prepare images. Please call to discuss your needs.

We can also take photographs for you.
