Further information and additional options

If you would like a web site of your own to promote your work or your business call us to discuss your needs. We will explain the process of putting a site on-line and guide you through the options.

The costs for designing and building a web site vary depending upon what type of site you need. We will explain all costs and choices so that there are no hidden surprises.

If you then ask us to produce your site, we guide you in the preparation of text, pictures, etc. We then design your web site, show it to you for approval and then put it on-line.

We then make sure the site stays on-line, that the emails work as planned - and we will be available to help with changes when you need them.

Hosting fee

To become available on the Internet a web site must be hosted on a server. We arrange hosting on professional servers that fully support and deliver your web site. The hosting charge for this is £96 per year. Once your site is on-line we ask you to pay using Direct Debit or Standing Order. All charges are subject to vat.

Photographs

If you would like us to photograph your jewellery or craft items please call to discuss your requirements. We are experienced photographers.

If you supply your own photographs we will digitally enhance them to look as good as possible on screen. Please call for advice on supplying pictures.

E-mail

Your Web site will enable visitors to email you for more information, make purchases, etc. Included in the annual hosting charge are up to five email addresses for your web site.

Making changes to your web site

Simple text changes are free of charge. Photographs can be changed at a cost of £15 + vat for each picture. If you need larger changes to the content of the site, these will be quoted for, depending upon requirements.

Promoting your Web site

We can help you promote your site. It will be built so that it can be 'read' by the Internet Search Engines. We can also register your site with the main search engines for a fee of £95. Please ask for further information and a list of the site engines we register with.

To bring visitors to your site you must tell them about it. Put your Web address on your letterhead, business cards and advertising. If you would like help in preparing marketing materials we will be pleased to discuss requirements.

Domain names (Web site addresses)

Most people like to have a domain name they choose themselves. We can advise on this and help register your name. The cost of this is included in the design and build fee.
